Cabiria Films was founded in 1991 by Ilan Flammer and Gilles Dinnematin. In its early years, the company focused on creative films in association with Arte. By the early 2000s, it had branched out, producing projects with Vic de Mayo’s Eva Production company, prior to Ilan launching new projects from 2006.The projects included ones such as the documentary series La Bible dévoilée, and fiction films including Le temps d’un regard, which Ilan himself directed, and Tanathur by Tawfik Abu Wael.
